WATER CONSERVATION

Every drop counts!

Gwinnett County follows state guidelines for outdoor water use restrictions.

How much water do you use every day? Estimate your water usage with this online calculator provided by the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District. Then take a pledge to make your home or business more water efficient!

Here are some simple habits to reduce your water usage:

    • Turn off the faucet when you brush your teeth.
    • Only run the dishwasher and clothes washer when you have a full load.
    • Check your faucets and toilets for leaks and fix them as soon as possible. Did you know?! A leaky toilet can waste hundreds of gallons of water every day!
    • Water your garden in the morning or evening when the temperatures are low to reduce evaporation. Choose native plants that are adapted to rainfall patterns in our region.
