DREAM BIG
2018
BRENDA EHLY, ARTISTIC REMEDIES BY BRENDA
WWW.ARTISTIC-REMEDIES.COM
Dream Big Mural

Dream Big, depicts a cohort of ants embarking upon a routine mission along Hill Street. While the majority immediately get down to the business of meeting their quotas and the expectations of those back home, a lone ant dares to dream on a grander scale in the face of at least one doubter.  Each ant has a role to play.  Achieving even the mundane and expected requires a sturdy resolve. The day-to-day checklists of life can sometimes feel like pushing a boulder (or an olive, depending on one’s stature) uphill.

DYLAN ROSS, DYLAN ROSS ART

Cosmic Tunnel

The Cosmic Tunnel located at Bunten Road Park is an interactive and educational mural that shows the size and spatial relationship between the planets of our solar system, as well as their orbital paths.  Not just planets, but stars, nebulas, asteroids, and space dust are also found throughout the mural. By using metallic, neon, and glow-in-the-dark paints, as well as the corrugated surface, we were able to create a piece of art that evolves and changes as your walk below it and looks differently under different lighting.

Ascension (139)
The City of Duluth and AGCO Corporation were proud to introduce the City's Gateway Art Piece Ascension. The artwork displays Duluth's rich history as a strong & humble farming community and continues its legacy by reaping and harvesting the fruits of our labors through the strength and perseverance embodied in our community today. Reflecting the Spirit of Duluth, Dillon's design lifts the labors of our past, sowing seeds of opportunity for today & carrying Duluth to greater heights for tomorrow. Michael says, “In developing a public artwork for the citizens of Duluth, and to honor its generous donor AGCO, my goal was to center the theme to a design that speaks to Duluth’s history as a farming community.”  The artwork is also a symbol that “ascends” and reflects this community’s strong values of today and inspiring vision for tomorrow.  AGCO is a mirror of this spirit.  As a vital member of Duluth’s community.
