Municipal Court - Continuances
If you need a Continuance, and you have not already requested one, it
must be submitted, in
writing, to the Court and be approved by a Judge.
Your request must be received by our business office no later than 5
business days prior to your original assigned court date. Our business
hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Your request must contain your name, citation number, address and phone
number and the reason you are requesting the continuance.
You are to assume that your request has not been approved and you are still expected to appear in court on your original assigned court date until you receive a phone call from the court staff advising the Judge has approved your request. At that time, you will be expected to do the following:
- Come to our business office before your original court date
- Sign a continuance form.
At that time, you will be assigned a new
date
After all procedures are complete, you will be taken off the original
court docket.
