Pay Property Tax Online

Tax Assessments for property, personal, inventory and equipment is done by the Gwinnett County Tax Assessors. Any assessment changes must be filed with the Tax Assessors office at the Gwinnett County Court House located at 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045 or call (770)822-7200. The Tax Assessors office sends the updated information to the City for re-billing or refunds.

To file for the following exemptions; homestead, senior, disabled or a 100% disabled veteran you must file with the Gwinnett County Tax Commissioners office at 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045 or call (770)822-8800 or click here to visit the Tax Commissioner's web site. You must own and occupy your property on January 1 of the tax year to receive the exemption. The Homestead Exemption application deadline is March 1st. Business inventory and equipment must also be filed by March 1st. You file this information with Gwinnett County only.

City of Duluth exemption amounts are as listed::

Once the City receives the tax digest from Gwinnett County the tax bills are processed. The tax bills are mailed out on September 1 and are due by November 30. Past due notices are mailed out in January with a 10% penalty pr $5.00, whichever is greater, and a 1% interest per month that is applied to the base amount. Bills delinquent as of February 10, a tax lien is filed with the Gwinnett County Superior Court. Payments must be sent to City of Duluth at 3167 Main Street, Duluth Georgia 30096.

If you are a new resident of the City of Duluth and you do not receive a tax bill by September 15, contact Jean Fulcher, Property Tax Officer at (770) 476-3434.

Example of how your tax bill is calculated:

100,000.00 x .40% = 40,000.00

40,000.00 x .005191 = $207.68

100% assmt. x 40% = 40% assmt. 40% assmt. x current = tax amount mill rate

Exemptions are taken off before bills are mailed out.
