Mission

It is our mission to provide opportunities, new experiences and advocacy to all older adults in the area, promoting dignity, personal growth, health, friendship, independence and improving their quality of life.

About the Group

This fun and exciting group will continue to welcome and serve all active older adults. Everyone is welcome to join our club for a variety of activities, programs, and services. Make new friends, take a class, or just travel to new and unique places. Get on our quarterly newsletter mailing list so you can keep up-to-date on what we are doing and what is new in our program. Senior Newsletter

Keep up with all the exciting programs and activities of the City of Duluth Senior Citizen Club, and the Parks and Recreation Department. This Quarterly newsletter gives you all the latest details on upcoming events, socials and activities. The best part is it can be mailed directly to you if you’re a club member. Otherwise, you need to stop by the center to pick up a copy during our regular office hours, or contact the office at 770-814-6981 to get the details on how to join the club and be on the mailing list.

Fees

The membership fee entitles you to many benefits within the Senior’s Club including discounts on special events and class registration fees, great prices on local businesses, free social services and a variety of day activities. You will also receive a monthly newsletter with a listing of all the Club activities and services. To join, come by the Bunten Road Park Activity Building between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm., Monday through Friday or call 770-814-6981 if you would like more information.

City Limits $15 / Outside City Limits $20 / Outside County City Limits $25

Membership entitles members to participate in scheduled activities at a reduced activity rate or free.

Monday/Wednesday – 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Dominos

Tuesday – 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Canasta

Tuesday/Friday – 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Mah Jongg

Monday – 10:30 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

Senior Fitness

Keep in shape with our instructor lead fitness class. This class is for our seniors. The class will emphasize stretching as well as muscle toning.

Fee: $30/month ($5 drop-in fee)

AARP Tax Preparers

AARP Tax Preparers Tuesday and Thursday February 4th thru April 15th 12:00noon thru 4:00pm. No appointments taken! Call 770-814-6981 for more information.

Spring 55 Alive Refresher Course

Calling all drivers to attend this and receive credit! $10.00 per driver and reserved seating is available! Call 770-814-6981 for more information.

Tiny Stiches

This senior Gwinnett county group is always looking for more people who would like to sew and maybe knit? Come and join these people on the last Tuesday of each month at 10:00am here at Bunten Road Park. Would you like more information? Please feel free to call us at 770-814-6981!

Senior Lunch

We will have a senior luncheon with a keynote speaker of interest. We supply the main entrée and ask that you bring a covered dish to share. Come and join us as we always have plenty of good food, fun and fellowship. (Please RSVP at 770-814-6981 if you are planning to attend)
