Big MAC (Mayor’s Advisory Council)
The purpose of Big MAC is to educate interested citizens on items and challenges that affect the City of Duluth. This advisory group will receive current information about critical facts and issues that are pertinent to our organization. By having a consistent group of citizens attending all meetings, the Mayor will be able to receive quality feedback from a group that understands some of the operational procedures and ordinances that exist for Duluth. Mayor Harris wants to communicate, clarify and create new solutions with your help.
Regular attendance to the four meetings is mandatory as you will be receiving information that builds with connectivity. The meeting time is 5:00- 7:00 p.m.

The responsibilities of Big MAC members include the following:
- Listen to City topics from Mayor and City Staff
- Listen to neighbors and citizens so you can bring new ideas
- Share ideas and concerns from citizens
- Ask Questions
- Give Advice
- Communicate what you learn with others
If this sounds like something you are interested in doing and you can commit to all four meetings, applications will be available here this Fall. You may also contact the Mayor’s office at 770.497.5321 and speak to Susan Weber. The application deadline will be in September and participation is limited to 40 citizens. This is a wonderful way for you to be a part of the decision making process as well as work to make Duluth the best place it can be for quality living.
